Special or Specific Health Conditions
Prior to your treatment, let us know if your health has changed, if you have any special health issues such as high blood pressure, heart conditions, allergies, chemical sensitivities, pregnancies, broken bones, surgeries, or any health issues that may contraindicate with heat therapy, massage or body wraps, colonic therapy, and other procedures.
Gratuities are appreciated and are solely at your discretion on individual services. There is an automatic 20% gratuity charge on massage and spa packages of two or more hours on the same day.
As a Spa Guest, You Are Expected to:
Arrive on time or early for your appointment to enjoy the facility. Know that any sexual solicitations and any inappropriate comments or actions that make the therapist feel threatened or uncomfortable will not be tolerated, and we will report such actions to authorities. The session will also be ended immediately, and you will be responsible for full cost of the service. Know that you may be silent or quietly talkative during your treatment. Respect that the room must be prepared and used for the next client; so you must vacate the treatment room upon completion of service within a reasonable amount of time and get undressed for the session in a reasonable amount of time. This time may be included with your session time.
Do not bring children and leave them unattended. This is very disruptive to other spa goers and unsafe for children. Share public space respectfully with other spa customers. In common areas, such as waiting rooms, keep your voices down in consideration of fellow spa customers trying to relax. Some patrons like to talk during the session; we try to discourage talking so that you can relax. Feel free to let your therapist know if you prefer not to talk. If you choose to talk, we ask you to speak in a soft or low voice as to not disturb others.
You are required to turn cell phones off during sessions so as to not disturb other clients. Give the therapist feedback as to your comfort and special troubled areas. Your therapist will keep your body draped during “dry and wet services” and will only expose the area to be worked upon, so your modesty is preserved. We do provide disposable underwear but feel free to bring your own undergarments for your body treatments. Know that you are in a professional spa therapy operation and do not expect anything other than therapeutic or spa services. Allow the therapist to perform a service as reserved and timed.
If you are late for your service, that time may be deducted from your service and you are responsible for full cost of service to allow us to be on time for our next client. So, we ask that you plan to be on time for your service or a few minutes early to allow you to use the restroom or fill out paperwork if it is your first visit to our spa. See our cancellation policy for further information. Give honest feedback to the therapist if you are unhappy with your treatment, so she has a chance to correct things. If no feedback is given during your treatment, we assume everything went well. Your therapist wants you to be happy with the services you are getting. It is important to communicate things like the amount of pressure you want to be used. Communication makes for a successful relationship. Everyone’s body is different. If at any time you feel that the pressure is not sufficient or is too strong for you, let your therapist know immediately so that they can adjust to your comfort level.
Know that some therapies may cause temporary discomfort during the session. This is necessary to get deep into the muscles or to work out pockets of lactic acid trigger points, etc. There is a chance that you may be sore after the therapy due to the amount of toxins and congestion in the area and lactic acid working out. If you request deep tissue massage, there is a possibility that you will be sore afterward until the muscle heals. Drink plenty of water after the service to allow your body to flush the toxins out.

We Reserve the Right
We reserve the right to charge for all appointments canceled without notice and no-show appointments. Appointments can be canceled only by phone. Email cancellations will not be accepted at any time.
All times reserved for 2 hours or more will require a credit card reservation and a 20% gratuity will be added. The reservation plus gratuity will not be charged to the credit card unless the appointment is not canceled, thus allowing us to reschedule someone else in that time period.
Gift certificates can be used for the reservation and will be forfeited if an appointment is not canceled.
When an appointment is scheduled, you are asking that we reserve that special time for you. Our business is done by appointments, and therapists are reserving time for you and cannot take other clients. We ask only that you give us a reasonable chance to schedule others who would like to use that time or to refill the time if you cannot make your scheduled appointment.
Credit card or gift certificate reservation is required.
If you have any questions about our cancellation policy, call Blue Mountain Health & Bodywork at 717-540-7717.
Thank you for your understanding.
