Body Wraps
What is a Body Wrap?
A Body Wrap is a full body treatment utilizing
either marine based products such as seaweed or algae, mineral-rich muds
enhanced with essential oils, hydrating aloe vera or detoxifying herbal blends.
All body wraps are designed to stimulate the lymphatic system and circulation to
allow the body to excrete toxins through the skin as well as absorb minerals to
help balance the body and stimulate the metabolic system. Most body wraps
utilize a thermal wrap made of plastic that is wrapped around the body to create
a hyper-thermic state, increasing the release of toxins and absorption of
nutrients. Body wraps also cause a temporary loss in inches. When combined with
diet and exercise and done in a series of ten or more, body treatments can be a
great addition to any weight loss program!
How do Body Wraps Work?
The skin represents the largest surface of
exchange of our body able to capture and absorb nutrients. Through cutaneous
penetration, the nutrients absorbed through body treatments can have a pain
relieving impact on specific parts of the body, a positive effect on the skin,
and improve circulation. Body treatments re-mineralize the body, allowing for
penetration of mineral salts and trace elements by a process called osmosis.
What are the Benefits of Body Treatments?
Body wraps are used to stimulate the
circulation, eliminate toxins and revitalize the skin. They are also used to
soothe overworked muscles and eliminate temporary weight gain. Our body
treatments promote renewal, revitalization, relaxation, recuperation and
detoxification, by completely recharging the body. Body wraps are one of the
best natural ways to restore the balance of the body and mind, often lost due to
the stresses of everyday life. For long-term benefits and to ensure maximized
results, treatments should be carried out once or twice a week for four to six
weeks.
What are the Benefits of Salt Re-mineralization Therapy?
Salt Re-Mineralization Therapy or Mineral Salt
Massage is an excellent body exfoliation treatment. Our salts are mineral-rich
Dead Sea Salts that are traditionally used for exfoliating the skin, opening the
pores, stimulating circulation and re-mineralizing the body. These salts are also
beneficial in the treatment of body aches, arthritis symptoms, eczema, and
psoriasis. A mineral salt massage when done prior to a body wrap will maximize
the absorption of minerals as well as facilitate the excretion of toxins through
the skin by opening the pores and stimulating lymph and blood flow.
Note: We recommend not shaving within 24 hours of your salt scrub to avoid a
burning sensation or irritation to open skin.
What can I expect during a Body Treatment?
Most body treatments are traditionally done with
the client unclothed; however you may decide what amount of clothing you prefer
to wear for your own comfort. A bathing suit or underwear may be worn but most
body wrap ingredients will stain clothing. The practitioner will leave the room
while you disrobe and you will be provided with a pair of disposable panties or
briefs and you relax on the table underneath a sheet or towel before the
practitioner returns. You will be draped at all times, only the area being
worked will be exposed and the therapist always respects your modesty. Most body
treatments last about one hour. Each body wrap begins with a full body dry
brushing if the wrap is not already prefaced with a Mineral Salt Massage. The
practitioner then applies the ingredients to your skin, keeping you modestly
draped at all times and you are then wrapped in a thermal wrap for about 20
minutes. You are then indulged in a head and neck or foot massage while you are
wrapped. If body wrap ingredients need to be removed, the practitioner will do
so with warm towels or you will be instructed to shower off the ingredients
privately in the shower provided within each treatment room. If a massage is to
follow the body treatment you will have adequate time to dry off after your
shower and get comfortable on the massage table before the therapist re-enters
the treatment room. Always remember to make yourself comfortable and just close
your eyes and relax! Your comfort is most important in making your treatment a
luxurious as well as therapeutic experience!

This treatment dramatically improves body and skin tone. Beginning with a body
scrub and an application of cellulite cream and then a highly concentrated
seaweed gel. You are placed in a thermal wrap for about 20 minutes, followed by
an application of Cellulite Oil massaged into problem areas. We recommend that
you do not shower until the following day to allow for maximum absorption.

Garden Mint Algae Body Masque:
Let us spoil you with a highly potent herbal and dead sea therapy for healing,
